From this new 2019/2020 season, a six-seater chairlift will replace the current two-seat of Les Crêts, as well as the Lona 1 ski lift. Set at 10 million francs, the new facility would transport 1600 people per hour, between Bendolla and col du pouce. It would be equipped with bubbles, very popular in bad weather.
With the increase in skiers, the Bendolla area is experiencing flow capacity problems during peak season, and guests have to take 3 different lifts to reach the top of the domain.
The project consists of replacing the 2-seater chair-lift Crêts dating from 1977 and the Lona 1 ski lift with a detachable 6-seater chairlift, equipped with bubbles, that will be able to carry 1,600 people/hour. The departure will be located south of and below the Bendolla restaurant and will feature a tangential on boarding. It will allow, in a single 7 minute journey, to arrive at 2700 meters altitude on the Col du Pouce located above the current arrival of the Lona 1 ski lift. From this point, skiers can access the sector Becs-de-Bosson or stay in the sector Lona.
